To Our Beloved Director

Yes, 'n' how many times can a man turn his head,

Pretending he just doesn't see?

The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,

The answer is blowin' in the wind.

At the outset, let me make it clear that I am in no way concerned with the matter discussed.I happened to come across this by mere chance and read it out of curiosity since I had the occasion to interact with your present director long ago.

The points you have raised are all valid in their own right and I find the arguments have been stated very coherently and intelligently...though I have no way of confirming if they are valid in the context of what are the rules governing the institute. It is heartening to see such "articulateness".

The common perception about your "beloved" director is that he is a benevolent and democratic person. He has a reputation of being a patient listener, deeply caring about his institute and the people who "work" or "study" there. But, people can behave differently with different people and there is a tendency among power-wielders to treat the "small fry" like scum or as inconsequential/ irrelevant/ insignificant.

I have just a few points to raise:

In the posts in December 2008, he is termed autocratic, a dictator, arrogant...
Subsequently, you say: Unfortunately, the highest authority of this institute has fallen an innocent victim of this administrative quagmire...

There is a radical shift in the picture, from arrogant, feudalistic dictator, a persecutor, to an innocent victim, though as head of an institution, there can be no virtue in being an "innocent victim". The blog should present a complete picture...if truth is to be upheld, you have to "show" the process and if your initial perception was wrong, you should have the grace to publish your regrets for the initial flaw in judgement/ perception. Please remember that what ever you post here is in the public domain, it is acessible to every one in the whole wide world...so truth is absolutely essential...especially since you belong to the noble profession of healers, literally, gods on earth.

My second point is:
Why have you stopped "posting" since 28.01.2009? I for one, am academically interested in knowing what has happened subsequently.I hope you'll fill in the latest update.

And, kudos to your choice of Bob Dylan's LINES. That is the attitude of most people who CAN do something...pretending they just didn't/ doesn't see... ostrich hiding its head in the sand...sweeping things under the carpet... if you don't look at it, it doesn't exist or will cease to exist... if that is what that "lovely" man has become, I am indeed deeply saddened...any way, all the best and hope things work out fine.
